My Practice

Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy are resources that are realistic, practical and effective. Psychotherapy works differently than medications, and is sometimes effective when medications aren't. We are constantly learning more about how our mental health affects our physical health. The mind and the body are actually a single system.

I work in an eclectic and integrative way. Particular attention is paid to discovering unhealthy negative beliefs that promote psychological disturbance, as well as, work towards identifying more appropriate and rational beliefs which promote psychological health. I use a wide variety of psychological techniques to complement therapy.

Some of these techniques include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural techniques based on REBT, CBT and CBH

  • Hypnosis
  • Life Coaching
  • NLP

With some of my work I might use relaxation, imagination and visualization, breathing exercises and body awareness to access and explore the wider domain. I work in a practical yet gentle and compassionate way. As I consider the uniqueness of each individual, I have no preset protocol as to how I treat each person and as to how long each course of treatment will last. However, the assessment will occur in the first session.

Couple therapy is offered for people who need help and support in their relationships.
